It is a profession which deals with a combination of professionalism skill and most importantly ethics an OT technician is in charge of the operation theatres as well as handling the equipment with care and caution their primary role is to assist the surgeons specialist and anesthesiologists.They prepare and organize surgical instruments before surgery & obey surgeons order amid surgery or crisis strategies and deals with anaesthesia equipment and also in surgical procedures.

The main role of the operation theatre technologists is to assist the surgeons in the operation theatre . They are trained to handle and manage the equipment in the operation theatre.

Min Qualification Required: 10+2

The government and private hospitals as well as healing centres hire operating theatre technician to assist in managing surgical procedures. The graduates often appear for higher examination to be a part of n educator or instructor at important preparing foundations

Forwarding in the imaging technology for different tissues combination of various organ systems in the human body such as X-rays, PET-scanning, sonography, CT-scanning, Ultra-sound, MRI etc. there is a huge demand for the imaging technologists.

The Career Scope of B.Sc. OT and AT:

• After completion of B.Sc. OT and AT , a person can find employment opportunities in various educational institutes, private and government hospitals, Nursing homes and Community health centres .They mainly assist in managing operation theatre and surgical wards.
• After the completion of Bachelors degree can join as a tutor in allied health science college.
• There is also an option of higher studies , upon completion of B.Sc. AT and OT Course , a person can go for a Masters degree and further studies.
